Following a West Coast whirlwind of special events, filming and 14-hour rehearsals, an exhausted, exhilarated Samantha Casey arrived home in Jeffersonton at 4 a.m. Thursday.
Two-and-a-half weeks earlier, she’d set out for Palm Springs, Calif, to participate in the nationally televised Miss Teen USA pageant, which aired live on NBC Tuesday, Aug. 15. After making the Top 15, Top 10 and Top 5 cuts, 17-year-old Casey was named third-runner up out of the 51 teens who competed for the crown.
“It was an amazing experience,” said Casey. “I loved being on stage.”
