They don’t know what to call their music.

“We are not eclectic, nor are we fusion. The truth is, I can’t say what kind of music we play,” said lead singer Van Carney.

They don’t seem to care about the name of their band.

“It’s not really offensive, and it’s not really interesting. It has a ‘K’, ” explained brother and bass player Jennings Carney, as though that explained anything.

“Outkast has a K,too,” added third brother, drummer Lain Carney.

They really like what they do.

“It’s worth it. We don’t make any money, but we get to keep doing it,” explained Van.

They are Pontiak. They’re evasive, complicated, and sarcastic, but I can’t help liking them, and not just because they bought me a beer.
