In the case of an outbreak, however, it’s likely some county schools schools will be called upon to do more than just distribute pamphlets. Options could include using the county’s buses to deliver meals to quarantined people or employing the facilities themselves as overflow space for community hospitals.
Of course, if it comes down to using the schools as makeshift hospitals, that creates the problem of continuing students’ education, a problem with no clear solution as yet.
