Metamorphosis as a Living Idea

Through exploratory drawing/observation and reflective meditation, we will work with Goethe’s Theory of Metamorphosis by living into the plants, seeing with the heart and mind to discover organic rhythm, structure, vitality and the underlying organizing Life principle in nature and humans.

Tour of the Garden and Its Philosophy: Friday, September 8th- 6-7:30 p.m.

The tour is free, but you must register as there is a maximum number of people that can be accommodated. Preference will be given to workshop participants, who are strongly urged to attend this evening. A workshop will be given on Saturday, September 9 from 9-4 p.m. No drawing experience is necessary, though experienced artists will find challenge and new ways to expand their work. Some supplies will be provided, others will be brought by participants. Lunch break (bring your own) and an afternoon snack (provided). Fee: $125, including some materials. Deposit required.
