The 4-day carnival concluded late Saturday evening with the crowning of the Honorary Fire Chiefs and the much-anticipated raffles.
Chosen on the basis of raffle tickets sold, a number of winners were announced on Saturday night. Topping the honors were Miss Flint , Hill Honorary Fire Chief, Lauren Burke. Victoria Hart was chosen as first runner up for Miss Flint Hill Honorary Fire Chief. Little Miss Flint Hill was Alex Williams and her runner up was Heather Henry. Paul Grigsby will serve as this year’s Little Mister Flint Hill Fire Chief and the runner up is Austin Herrill.
The big winner in the new Chevy pickup truck raffle was once again an out of-towner: Bonnie McGuffin of Staunton had the winning ticket sold by Nancy Jones. However, the lucky ticket holder for the Black Angus heifer donated by the Welch family was Don Beaham of Flint Hill. All in all, according to fire company
