June 3: Trail Ride Benefit
A pleasure trail ride and BBQ will be held on June 3 at 2 p. m. at Dick & Jeannie McNear’s Greenwood Farm at Hilltop in Washington, Virginia. The cost is $30 per person with children under 12 free of charge. Proceeds will help fund construction of circuit fitness stations at Rappahannock County Park as Tyler Burdick’s Eagle Scout Project. June 6: In-orchard meeting
Rappahannock Extension Office invites each of you to attend an In-orchard meeting scheduled to be held at James Jenkins Orchard, Woodville at 11 a.m. for a tour of the orchard, followed by a discussion of current insect and disease control recommendations, and other orchard management practices. Jenkins Orchard is located from Rt. 231, turn right on to Rt. 621, go about 2 miles. The orchard is on the left by the packing shed. Call the Extension Office at 540-675-3619 to register for this program or for information. After the orchard tour you will have a bagged lunch, bring your own, drinks will be furnished by the host orchardist. You will adjourn around 1 p.m.
