High School, Lisa had graduated cum laude from the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. And more recently, she had been pursuing a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Virginia Commonwealth University. Persistently motivated and conscientious, Lisa had been known to take on more than one job while attending school full time.
She is survived by her beloved sister and confidante, Sarah Marie, of Warrenton. She was the much-loved granddaughter of the late Roger Batchelder and his wife, Jane, of Washington, Virginia, and Nona and Larry Genebach, maternal grandparents, who reside in Madison County, Virginia. Lisa will be deeply missed by her aunt, Susan Batchelder Wise and husband Jeffrey of Durango, Colorado, her uncle, Rand Batchelder and his wife Laura of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and her maternal aunt, Sharon Luke and husband Peter Luke of Rappa
