Finally, “bad” weather can be your friend. Shots in the middle of a sunny day often have a wider contrast than your camera - unlike your eye — can handle. You are likely to end up with featureless blown out white areas and featureless blocked up shadows. That won’t happen on a cloudy day, plus colors tend to be more vivid when the light is not harsh.
