Kevin Donegan has spent 27 years in the Navy. He’s flown fighter jets, lie’s touched down on aircraft carriers over 800 times, both during the day and at night. He’s captained aircraft earners.
Donegan has had many titles as he’s moved through the ranks, but his latest comes as a surpnse. even to him. On Dec 1 he was made a one-star admiral, and is now outranked only by a select few.
Rear Adm. Donegan. who owns property in Sperryville and hus been spending time in Rappahannock County for over 30 years, welcomed the honor.
“It’s not something you strive to do because the chances are not great to get there." he said “You serve the country and if you're lucky you get the right promotion."
