Donovan

pleads guilty

On Dec. 21 in Rappahannock County Circuit Court, Mary Elizabeth Donovan pleaded guilty to seven charges of forging checks and seven charges of using bad checks. Two other charges of check forgery and two charges of using bad checks will be dismissed as part of Donovan’s plea agreement.

Donovan’s sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 7. As part of her plea agreement, the Sperryville woman has already agreed to pay a total of $1,222 in restitution for the crimes.

Wrong county

Despite being indicted in November in Rappahannock County Circuit Court, Jeremy Critchfield will not be prosecuted in Rappahannock for charges of credit card theft and forgery.
