. The state has gone from paying roughly 30 percent of a Rappahannock child’s education to just 20 percent. The change means a loss of thousands of dollars of state aid to schools. Rappahannock citizens pay a greater share of the cost of education than those living in surrounding counties because of an unfair state funding formula for schools.
In an effort to improve education funding, the Rappahannock County and School Funding Team is asking the General Assembly to change the following laws, and your help could make the difference.
