Preston Angell
While not wanting any attention brought to himsel£ according to those who know him. Preston Angell is literally an angel in Rappahannock County quietly serving the residents in a thousand ways. When he was a young man. hie was an officer in the Navy and that propensity for serving has stayed with him as he now spends the minority of his time in service to his community.
A retired engineer who has worked on projects all over the world. Preston has lived in Rappahannock County since about 1998. He drives the ambulance for the Washington Fire and Rescue team and has done so for years. He gets up at all hours responding to every sort of emergency and tirelessly performs his duties and never receives a penny for all his work. He is involved in the fund raising efforts for Washington Fire and Rescue. He is constantly working in his workshop with either a project for Trinity Episcopal church or for the Washington Fire and Rescue.
You’ll see Preston at the Rappahannock County Public library where he volunteers for several hours each Wednesday.
He has donated blood consistently for years.
A selfless and consummate giver of himself, Preston adopted a stray dog and has paid countless dollars for its medical bills.
W’ashington resident Mark Rhein can speak first hand about Preston Angell as Preston has helped the Rheins with many of the projects on their farm.
