Donegan signed up for the Navy after studying aerospace engineering at the University of Virginia.
“1 think I always wanted to fly airplanes," he said.
He said he those* the Navy over the Air Force because he wantt>d the challenge of landing on aircraft carriers. He still gets a rush when he lands a plane at sea, he said.
“It’s a lot of fun.” he said.
