Fauquier County Humane Investigator HiUeary Bogley and Sgt. John Arstino, an animal control officer with the sheriff"s office for more than 19 years, both say they haven’t found any evidence of dogfighting here.

But if that ever changes, the Humane Society of the United States wants to know about it.

Prompted in part by the publicity surrounding the Michael Vick case earlier this year, the agency created a “dogfighting reward program.”

The humane society now offers $5,000 rewards to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and prosecution of any person involved in illegal animal fighting.
