Jan. 3: mat lurry thk«
you got for Christmas
The kitten or puppy that Santa brought to your household needs to be “flyed”. Ordinarily that would cost you a great deal of money. But the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League, RAWL, has arranged for cats and dogs to be spayed or neutered for far, far less than the usual fee. Figures vary, but no one pays more than $65.00. The RAWL spay/neuter program is done through the shelter in Amissville, where a van is filled with pets each month. Owners must register and pay at the shelter. The next van trip is January 9, so please sign up, in person, before Jan. 7. Telephone the shelter at 540-937-3283 any morning, seven days a week; we re here to take your call. By the way, if holiday bills leave you short ask about our “scholarship” program for those in need of funds.
