No. 4: Cloniger convicted For three days in January, the Rappahannock County Courthouse played host to the Ira Wayne Cloniger murder trial. Cloniger was found guilty of first-degree murder for the July 2006 stabbing death of his friend Edward Carlton Fletcher Jr. The trial revealed a sordid tale filled with betrayal, blood and lust.
