Many in Rappahannock County refer to Barbara Adolfi as “Mrs. Spenyville” for she is a one woman show when it comes to promoting, supporting and advocating for the village she and her husband, Ray, call their home. This past May; Barbara was instrumental in helping to organize the Living Towns workshops that were held in Sperryville which brought regional attention to the plight of small, rural towns and how they can become and stay viable places to live and work. Barbara is a people advocate. She makes it her mission to seek out and help all those that she can whether its promoting them in her column, paying them a visit, fixing them a meal or praising their artwork or musical talent. She has embraced Rappahannock County with boundless energy and her smiling face and cheery disposition affect all those whose lives she touches.
