On Sunday, December 16, 2007, you may have noticed that sirens were flashing, or perhaps you heard yelling and noticed the power was out. Well.. .this is why. My family and I and our friend Roger Riggins were in the kitchen making dinner when all of a sudden, there were three big bangs and the lights blinked out. We all looked out the window and saw that the transformer was on fire and a live wire was on the ground, sparking and snapping. Roger said, “What should we do?” My mother said, “I think we should call 911.”

My mom immediately called the police and the phone went out just as she was telling them our address. Roger opened the door to get a better look. I was in the hall and saw. what was happening. There were big flames hopping around on the ground between
