I’m not sure why I look to complicate my life, sometimes. I have reached the point where simplification would seem to be the right direction. As we get older, shouldn’t we be looking to divest ourselves of unnecessary complications and contrivances and things we have to do?
Much of the answer is in the definition. A simpler way of life could be described as one where we bum wood to heat the house, kill something for dinner, and spend the last hours of the day reading a good book. That seems, at first blush, like the simpler way. But, don’t be distracted by the “seeming” simplicity.
