Shown to. the right of W. H. Lyne, County Agent of Rappahannock, it L. B. Henretty, Soil Conservationist with Soil Conservation Service of the U. S. Department of Agriculture, working in co-operation with the Culpeper Soil Conservation District <jf which Rappahannock is a part. It is his function to assist farriers in developing complete plans for soil and water conservation and to help them establish the adapted ' conservation measures on their farms. One of the major soil conservation practices promoted by the Culpeper Soil Conservation District is establishment of high protein pastures, most important ones heing Ladino Clover and Orchard Grass mixtures. Mr. Henretty is also a member of the Rappahannock Agronomy Advisory Committee.
