Gene Krupa To Play For

Concert and Dance At

Front Royal Union Hall

Gene Krupa, the kid with the heat beat, learned to n^anipulate a pair of drumsticks almost as early as he mastered the nise of a knife and fork, and worried his parents because the former was his choice.

Born in Chicago, the windy city, January 15, 1903, Gene graduated from St. Joseph’s College, after attending Bown high school in Chicago; he studied many subjects; but majored in drumming, playing with various school and college bands, in most instances signing for the engagement first and organizing the band afterwards.
