The new clubs that were started in 1949 were:
1. Chester Gap; 2. F. T. Valley Xu. 2; 9. Woodville Country; 4. Fodder Stack. The following home demonstration clubs were met in 1949 making a total of fourteen; 1. Chester Gap; 2. Huntly; 3. Flint Hill; 4. Amissville; 5. Fodder Stack; 6. Washington; 7. Sperryville; 8. F. T. Valley; 9. Woodville; 10. Woodville Country; 11. F. T. Valley No. 2; 12. Castleton; 13. Estes; and 14. Slate Mills.
