This means that if a farmer will seed 2 pounds of ladino, 8 pounds of orchard grass and use two tons of lime (where needed) and 800 pounds of 2-1212 fertilizer to the acre, his payment for the 10 acres would lie approximately $100.00.
How any of- these conservation practices may fit into any farmer’s pasture program will he explained by the PMA county office or by PMA county and community committeemen when farmers complete 1950 ACP worksheets. “ “Not only does good pasture provide the best and cheapest form of feed,” Mr. Tapp said, “but a good grass and clover sod is the best protection a farmer can have against erosion.
