Student Council
President
One of the most outstanding girls, and voted the most popular is Mary Karland Fincham, president of the S.C.A. Mary Karland is well known throughout the school as being on the basketball team and being a good sport at all times.
Her life in high school has led her through many paths. Her outstanding achievements have been Business Manager of the anneal “The Echo", last year; vice president of the Student Council in her Junior year; President of F.H.A. in ’49-’50; and being voted the best dressed, best all-around girl by the pupils of W.H.S.
When you meet her in the hall you are always greeted with a friendly smile or “Hi.”
She has been a member of W.H.S. for six years and we all feel she has been a credit. Most of us could use her achievement as a pattern for our aims.
