Also attending this meeting was the chief of forest protection for the State of Virginia, Mr. Hunter H. Garth, who reviewed the 1949 State fire record and offered many points of interest for the reduction of the number of fires for tbe year 1950. District Forester D. G. Wilfong and District Fire Chief Randolph Bibb disc'.ssed plans for the future use in each individual county within the district.
Warden Johnson asks at this time that the citizens of Rappahannock county* co-operate fully with him this year so that the number of fires can be reduced thereby increasing the benefits that the citizens receive from the forestlands of .the county.
