Is Critically ill At Home

Dr. James Gid Brown, who ha< been in ill health for the past year, is critically ill at his home in Woodville.

MRS. MUSSELMAN ,,JMrs. Chris Schaefer was notified Sunday of the death of her sister, Mrs. John Musselman, of Elkwood. Mr. Schaefer and Fred Schaefer left immediately to he with the family. On Tuesday Mr. Schaefel' and his daughter, Mrs. B. M. Varner, and Fred Schaefer attended the funeral.

The- Woman’s Society of Christian Service ..of the Washington Methodist church entertained at tea" at the Washington House on Saturday, from 13 to J-ao-ehwk m homy <>f Mrs. R. Maxwell VV i 11 is, president of - the WSCS of the’ Charlottesville district, and Mrs. E. A. Birt, of "Boston, England. .The dining room was decorated in yellow and green. The honored guests were presented with corsage's by members of the society. Tea was- poured by Mrs. Lester Burne.

There were 66 guests, present from the societies of Amissville, Flint Hill, Sperryville, and the Washington Methodist chirches. Mrs. J. H. Newhouse of Culpeper, secretary of the mission education board, and Mrs. Leslie Fox Keyser of Front Royal were among the out-of-town guests.
