One of the main highlights of the Rappahannock Home Demonstration work in 'lit was the great increase of new Home Demonstration Clubs. In 1948 there were 11 home demonstration clubs in the county. I>t^J94!f) there were 14 home demonstration clubs in the county. This, as you can see is an increase of three new clubs in the county. It is really an increase of four new clubs, since one club that was met by the agent in ’48 merged into a larger nearby home demonstration club. Of course, with the increase of home demonstration clubs in the county there is an increase of attendance, this making it possible for more women to have been reached and aided through the home demonstration program. This could not have been done without the aid of other H.D. tlubs that have been meeting over a period of years. The women in these' clubs furnished the agent wuth the names, so as to be able to start new clubs and some of the women went along when the agent visited, to start new clubs.
