Grazing up to twenty dairy cows have been reported on as little as four acres of good ladino and orchard grass sod for an entire season, and it was necessary to clip the pasture at least once o$ twice. Dividing the pasture into plots for rotation of grazing will insure the life of the stand. Over grazing will encourage weed growth—it is best not to graze lower than three to five inches. Constant walking over the young plants tend to flatten and weaken the plant so that a slow recovery is made.. Craze one or two hours in the morning and again in the afternoon, and remove the cows as soon as they get a till or when they begin to \yander.

Feeding a full feed of dry roughage before the first grazing will help to prevei bloat or a small feeding each, morning before putting the cows on the pasture is also recommended. Bloat is more likely to ccur on Ladino pastures alone than on Ladino and Orchard grass mixtures.
