Baby Beef Shows
Planned In State
Dates for the 1950 series of 4-H—FFA baby be^f shows and sales have been announced by Dave Brower, 4-H club livestock specialist at VPI.
They are: April 19, Richmond; April 20, Fredericksburg; April 21, Salem; April 25, Portsmouth; April 27, Staunton; April 28, Danville; and May 3, Bristol.
Another nas been tentatively set for May 13 at Richlands.
In' addition to baby beeves, the Richmond show will include swine. The event at Staunton will be a fat stock show—swine, calves, and sheep.
Xewbill Miller and Bobby Atkins, 4-H members of Rappahannock are feeding baby beeves, which will be sold at one of these sales.
Four-H Club Dates
Announced At VPI
A series of 4-H club conferences and special observances for 1950 have been announced by Gordon A. Eclan, State club boys’ agent, VPI.
National events are: National Club Week, March 4-12; National 4-II Sunday, May 14; National 4-H Camp in Washington, D.C., June 14-21; National Achiveoment Week, November 4-12; and National Club Congress in Chicago. November 25-30.
State events are: All Star Conference, June 23-July 1; State Shoit Course, June 20-July 1; and State Achievement Day, August 22.
