1977-78, is a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Club and was a ninth grade SCA member.
Miller excelled in basketball and baseball, playing both in the eighth grade and varsity baseball in his senior year. Every year he has been a star in basketball. He was on the JV team in the ninth and tenth grades and a Varsity player in the eleventh and twelfth grades. He was named most valuable Junior Varsity player in the tenth grade and most valuable Varsity player in the eleventh grade.
Miller anticipated entering Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the fall in a pre-vet course.
