What Kind of Home Stimulates Good Citizenship? This was the question recently posted on the bulletin boards of the Rappahannock High School to encourage the selfexpression of the students. As an incentive to outline their thoughts in articles of 500600 words, awards of $25 for afirst prize and $15 for second place were offered. Good citizenship is a very important asset in a school. It is a significant factor in classroom discipline. And good discipline, in turn, creates an atmosphere that is more conducive to education. An orderly classroom lessens tension and aggravation for both pupil and instructor.
But it is the POOR discipline and the growing disorder in public schools that is the nagging problem causing so much concern and so many conferences. The faculty of Rappahannock High School is not entirely free from this problem.
