without undue stress, tree ;xchange of ideas is necessary for a free society. The family can provide a key part of a young person’s character that will lead to good citizenship. For someone to get the most out of his ability, he must have confidence in himself. This faith in oneself is acquired through achievement. Family members should be allowed to advance at their own speed and encouraged to better themselves. Self-confidence will follow. A deeper type of faith can come to a young citizen through the realization of God. The spirit of Christ in one’s daily life can make things go much easier.

By putting all of this together we can say that a stimulating family should encourage education and community activity, teach discipline and set good examples. It should also aid the development of self confidence and provide a solid religious background.”1

These actions will instill a sense of pride in young Americans, and pride is what citizenship is all about.
