The Varsity Panthers baseball team failed to score sufficiently in their game on Tuesday, May 9, at Luray to hamper the Bulldogs, who won 11 to 3.
Six of Luray’s runs occurred during the second inning, through Rappahannock’s numerous errors.
The first Panther run was made when designated hitter Roger Jenkins drove the ball into right field for a double in the second. Third baseman Gary Settle singled to left field batting Jenkins in.
The final Rappahannock runs followed in the third frame when right fielder Nils Aylor singled and stole second. Shortstop Rick Johnson continued the rally with a single that Aylor went home on, and took second on a passed ball. First baseman
