On May 11, the seventh grade students from the local elementary school came to the high school for an orientation program.

The rising eighth graders head a talk by RCHS principal Mr. Wingfield and were given a tour of the school.

Seniors who conducted the underclassmen on the tour included Danny Jett, Debbie Knighting, Jimmy Swindler and Laura Pendleton. Lynn Holland, a guidance aide, showed them the library and Rosa Jordan the GuidanceLibrary secretary explained the use of the career room.

The Varsity Club met May 9 and discussed plans for the annual sports banquet. Guest speaker of this event will be Harold McClinton of the Washington Redskins. Dinner tickets are: adults $5; students $4; JV and 8th graders $2; Varsity players Free.

All of the *»ehool * organizations are getting it all together as the close of the year is near.

The National Honor Society came out with the final edition of the "Panther Pause." the school newspaper. Wednesday the group will hold the annual inductions. As guest speaker this year we will have Mr. James J. Kilpatrick. This should be an enlightening event.
