The Inn at Little Washington received a hefty serving of praise in the Washington Star’s Spring Dining Guide, a special section in the May 7 edition devoted to restaurants in the metropolitan area.
In the supplement’s front page story on new restaurant trends, The Inn rated mention before any of the other 22 dining establishments cited in the article. John Rosson described it as “the best thing to happen in the dining-out field here in a long time.” Although The Inn only opened for business on February 1, Rosson noted that it was already impossible to get in without a reservation.
Thanks to chef Patrick O'Connel, The Inn “is a house of haute cuisine” with dishes that “invariably add up to exquisite fare,” the reviewer wrote. Equally important, according to Rosson, host Reinhart Lynch “sees to proper service—and always with a touch of panache.”
