In a meeting on Thursday, the Rappahannock Board of Zoning Appeals issued two special use permits and adjourned within 20 minutes.
Erma Lohman’s application for a permit to use an existing house on Route 522 south of Woodville for an antique shop was approved unanimously. Mrs. Lohman assured the Board that she had adequate space for parking if it were needed and acknowledged that she would have to meet county regulations on outdoor advertising before she erected any signs.
“When I put a sign up." Mrs. Lohman began.
“You'll have to speak with us," finished Zoning Administrator Evan McNear. "It’s a separate issue," he added.
BZA member George Muth noted that she would have to meet state regulations as well as the requirements of the county zoning ordinance.
The Board also unanimously approved a request from Steve Hostetter to occupy a 20-foot selfcontained travel trailer on Route 616 in Castleton. Hostetter was issued a trailer permit for six months.
