fact that "Stoneledge” is the work product of a talented family including husband, Syd, master builder; wife Dorothy, interior designer; son Andrew, architect; daughter-in-law Sally, urbali planner. The Manks have effectively combined local building stone, California cedar, and lots of glass walls and large windows, with the greens and browns of their Long Mountain building site, to create a great sense of tranquility and living with nature. The two-story rear deck of the house provides a view westward across Tiger Valley to the Blue Ridge mountain chain of Shenandoah National Park, 15 miles away.
Other homes opened for the tour include Rosewood, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Labovitz and Hopperland, the Harris Hollow home of A. K. Davis. Tea will be served both days at Rosewood.
