At stake will be one of Virginia's two seats in the United States Senate as well as representation in the House from the state’s Seventh Congressional District. In addition, Rappahannock voters will join the rest of Virginia in deciding whether or not to allow parimutuel betting. County voters will also be able to choose if mixed alcoholic beverages should be served in Rappahannock.
And all it takes to have a voice cm these issues is a short trip to the Registrar’s office. Those who don’t make the effort have to excuse for sour graping later. We urge all Rappahannock residents to register by Saturday if they have not already done so, and to vote in the November 7 elections.
