The 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club, led by Bill and Mauri Payne, is off the ground with six avid members attending meetings field every weekend in the Payne’s stable. Although most of the members have little experience with horses, all have been assigned a horse from :he Payne’s bam on which :hey practice their new-found knowledge. Already most lave mastered haltering and eading, and grooming—from brushing and currying to leaning hooves. 4-H Home Ec

The 4-H Home Ec Club has been meeting at Rappahannock High on Mondays or Wednesdays. We meet in the Home Ec room there and sew until 4:30 p.m. The things that we are doing are listed below:

Marie Davis: a cotton dress (flowered).

Kim Gilkey: flowered dress.

Kelly Gilkey: flowered blouse and skirt.

Terry Thomas: orange skirt. Janine Bloomer: flowered quilted purse.

Our next meeting will be Monday, Oct. 9.

Chester Gap

The Chester Gap 4-H Club has an enrollment of 13 members. This year they will be carrying the following projects: Unit 2 Little Virginia Miss Sewing Project...April Williams, Angie Jenkins, Jeannie Wines. Susie Wines, and Dannette Hickerson.

Those carrying Fun With An Enternational Flavor are:..Cindy Williams, Dina Bird Williams, Roxzy Williams, Gail Wines, Sandy Wines, Gina Wines.

Kim and Kelly Gilkey are taking Unit I Health.

Adult leaders are - Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey and Mrs. Mary Hickerson.

The Clubs have their regular monthly meeting the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 P.M. at the leaders’ home.
