Saturday, October 7, is the last day that Rappahannock residents can register to vote in the November 7 elections. General Registrar Mary Cleverley will be in her office in the court house between 8 a.m. and noon and between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, and Saturday, October 7.

According to Mrs. Cleverley, citizens wishing to register don’t have to bring anything with them to the court house office. They must know their social security number and they must be prepared to swear that the information given to the Registrar is correct. The whole procedure takes only a few minutes. Then citizens are able to exercise their constitutionally guaranteed rights at the polling booths on November 7.
