Cooley

Memorial services for Charles Stewart Cooley of Amissville were held Tuesday afternoon at the Warrenton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Moody Wooten officiating.

Mr. Cooley died Sunday, October 1, 1978, at his home. He was 77.

A retired mechanical engineer, he was married to Violet H. Cooley.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Haliczer; and two sons, Dallas and Douglas Cooley.

It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the organ fund of the Warrenton United Methodist Church or to Boy Scout Troop 50 of Amissville.

Charles Dean

Charles Henry Dean, 67. of Front Royal, died Sept. 24 at Winchester Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Mary M. Dean, three daughters. Miss Evelyn M. Dean. Philadelphia, Mrs. Mary Alice Mitchell and Mrs. Suetta Freeman, Front Royal, a brother Samuel Dean, Washington, five sisters, Mrs. Maude Baltimore. Front Royal, Mrs. Bessie Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Rosalie Townley, Mrs. Susan Mayers and Mrs. Gertrude Burrell, Washington, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sept. 27 at St. Paul’s Church, Happy Creek. Interment was at the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Joynes Funeral Home.
