Mrs. Groves
Mrs. Alverta Beatrice Groves. 78, of Amissville, died Sept. 25 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are six daughters. Mrs. Margaret Lee. Viewtown, Mrs. Kate Pitton and Mrs. Millie King, Amissville, Mrs. Dorothy Smith. Mrs. Catherine Gaines and Miss Mary Groves, Washington, seven sons, Thomas Groves. Middletown, Pa., Julian Groves, Falls Church, Walter Groves. Jeffersonton, George Shanklin and Raymond Groves. Amissville, James and William Groves, Washington, 28 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sept. 29 at the Waterloo Baptist Church. Interment was at Bethel Baptist Church cemetery. Amissville. Arrangements were by Joynes Funeral Home.
