At the January 17, commission meeting, the Rappahannock Planners forwarded revisions to the zoning ordinance amendments enacted in September on to the supervisors with an informal recommendation for adoption.. However, they failed to reach a decision on whether C. L. Goode’s Flint Hill subdivision “substantially complies" with provisions of the county’s subdivision ordinance and agreed to schedule a special meeting before the Supervisors’ session on February 1.

If the supervisors accept the planning commission's recommendation on the ordinance revisions, they will effectively rescind the portion of the amendments that allows '’ommercial recreational ..s a use permitted by right on slopes over 14 per cent. Revisions approved by the planners coinside closely with :hanges to the ordinance amendments proposed by the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection.
