1 testified at a Bingo hearing on the new Bingo Bill for all the folks in the District. After being there for 2'A hours I was the only one favoring the bill. Many of those testifying ahead of me were opposed to the restriction of three nights a week in rented halls. You should have seen and heard them. One nattily attired fellow informed the Committee he charged different organizations $225.00 a night for rent on his Bingo hall. That’s $1,350.00 per week. He will have been in business a year next month and claimed, after questioning, that he and his partner have only made $1500.00 a piece since February????
