THE AVALANCHE of legislation submitted for consideration by the 1979 General Assembly in its 30day session has reached an estimated total of 2,000 bills and resolutions.
Monday was the deadline for submitting new legislation and as the paper work was being processed the total was expected around 2,000, in addition to more than 400 bills and resolutions carried over from last year.
The weight of the workload facing legislators is expected to bring a move this week to extend the session by at least 10 days.
