The Washington Fire Dept, responded to a chimney fire at the John Lawrence's residence in Amissville January 18, and was assisted by the Warrenton and Amissville departments. January 16. the Washington Dept, sent two units to a chimney fire at the residence of Frank Carter on Route 668. January 15 they responded to a field fire at the property of Mrs. Mozelle Carver on Fodderstack Road. January 8, W. V. F. D. answered a call from the state police to Panorama to a tractor trailer accident for the purpose of washing spilled fuel. December 27, W. V. F. D. responded with Sperryville to a fire at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Jenkins in Sperryville.
