THE HOUSE has killed a bill which would have prohibited 18-year-olds from purchasing beer and consuming it off premises.
The House voted down 44-52 Monday the measure sponsored by Del. Warren Barry (R-Fairfax), who said the legislation could help control a growing problem of alcohol abuse among Virginia high school students.
