Applicants must submit the following material for consideration: (1) A completed U.S. Government Form 171. (Available from local Federal Job Information Centers listed in the telephone directory, or call 800-555-1212 for the toll-free number of the nearest center.) (2) A transcript of student’s high school record. (3) A written recommendation from an adult, other than family, who knows the applicant and his-her qualifications for the program. (4) A letter from the applicant indicating college and career plans, activities in high school, previous conservationoriented work (both volunteer and paid), reasons for seeking employment through the program and a statement explaining if any members of the applicant’s immediate family is or has been employed by any of the sponsoring agencies. This statement should clearly outline the family relationship and specify the name of the agency.
High school seniors interested in the program should submit their applications and the supporting documents to IWLA Summer Employment Program, P. O. Box 11104, Richmond, Va. 23230. Deadline for RF.CE1PT (time material must arrive by) of the applications is not later than 5 p.m. on Friday, February 23.
