Story Praised

To the editor:

Tonight I read Ms. Daphne Hutchinson’s article of January 4, 1979 concerning Eva Smith. I read it to my Dad, who knows her well, and to my Mom, who grew up in Washington, Virginia. After enjoying the content of the article, we all agreed that the writer was extremely talented, also. We laughed a lot, cried a little and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Congratulations on a splendid article!

$2,000 Needed

To the editor:

The students at Rappahannock County High School have raised another $701.90 towards surfacing the track. An estimated $2,000 is still needed to complete the physical layout. Equipment can then be purchased for effective practice and track meets for our team.

Fund raising projects recently brought: —$97.10 from pop bottle drive, —$176.90 from stereo giveaway,

—$427.90 from jog-a-thon.

Track members and coaches would like to thank the public for their support in these projects.

Any individual or organization wishing to help students further progress on the track can send donations to C. E. “Ned” Johnson, Box 211, Sperryville, Va. 22740.°
