Excellence

Award

The Rappahannock Chapter of the American Heart Association topped its goal in the 1978 fund campaign and netted an award of excellence for the group. An award of excellence is given when a challenge goal is exceeded. The Rappahannock Chapter realized $2236 in the 1978 fund drive when the quota was $2000.

Chapter chairman. Mary Quaintance expressed extreme pleasure in the diligence of district captains in the county, as well as her co-chairman, Mary R. Miller. Those working last year included Barbara Gentry, Maybelle Gilkey, Myrtle Falls, Aline Johnson, Nanc/W Nicholas and Nancy Reeve.

For the 1979 campaign Merle Daczewica and Carolyn Leake will fill positions vacated by Myrtle Falls and Maybelle Gilkey, respectively. Field Representative Kathy Easton met Tuesday with Mrs. Quaintance and Mrs. Miller to formulate plans for this year’s fund drive.
